iPhone Release and Rumors

It’s official, the much-anticipated iPhone has a release date: June 29th. The commercial aired during 60 Minutes this week confirmed what we’ve all been waiting to hear: when, exactly, we can get our hot little hands on an iPhone.

Now the speculation can begin in earnest. some of my favorite Mac rumors swirling around the interwebs today are the rumor of the 12th mystery application, the opening of the iPhone platform at WWDC in June and the New York Times’ concern that the iPhone has been so hyped people will actually be disappointed with it once they get it. (not likely)

Any guesses on the mystery application? I’m curious, but also wondering if the AT&T (Stupid AT&T - bring back Cingular!) logo on an active phone may be pushing the icons down a bit, too, causing needless speculation. Who knows. All I know for sure is that I’m on the list at Cingular (No, I won’t call it AT&T. I don’t like AT&T. I miss Cingular and the cute little orange man.) for a new phone once they start selling them. I can’t wait!

    (My son saw the commercial and freaked out.. “mommy, mommy, we HAVE to get the iPhone…please!”)

    I dont know why I don’t already have one - OH yeah cause its not availible til the 29th!!!dammit.
    Well YOU can count me in on the IPHONE FRENZY!
